Interested in joining a Relay for Life team? We are trying to get one together. Our local event is being held Friday, May 22nd at 6pm - 6am at the Hauula playground/community park. I have already signed up a team. I am trying to get 10 people committed to one team and if we have more that will be great - 2 teams! I have heard that the cost is either $5 or $10 per person (registration fee). We can also raise money for our team but do not have to. This is an inexpensive way to help out a good cause.

What is Relay For Life?
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.
Teams of people from all walks of life have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment.
No matter who you are, there’s a place for you at Relay.
Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people to:
• Celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight.

Betsy! Hello Hello! I saw your blog through Melissa's. I remember finding your blog a while ago but I could never access it for some reason...It works now so hooray hooray!
If I had the money to fly out to Hawaii I would totally join in! Even though I hate running! I would probably just walk.

Wow, wish i was closer. I would love to do this! What a great idea to get a team together! About the Lakers, Jake took me to a game once and since Jake was friends with the head coach of the Warriors who were playing the Lakers, we got front row seats right next to Scottie Pippin. And we were like 5 feet away from Kobe! Crazy. So i still am a little star struck over the Lakers. It was a good game against the Jazz. Well...post about the relay and tell us how it was!
Betsy- I would really wanna be there for the cereal night. In June? We will see when this little baby comes...but let me know when it is for sure so we can mark it on our calendars. And if there is still no baby, we will for sure be there. Love ya!
